Description:

Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology (OSUIT), located in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, is seeking an Adjunct Faculty Member in Automotive Technologies to join the School of Transportation & Heavy Equipment. This role is focused on facilitating learning for students pursuing an Associate in Applied Science degree in Automotive Programs, helping to prepare the next generation of automotive professionals with strong technical and ethical foundations.

The Adjunct will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, mentoring students, and ensuring the integration of industry standards into classroom and lab-based training. The position requires balancing both theoretical knowledge and hands-on application to equip students with practical automotive skills aligned with industry demands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate learning in the Automotive Technologies program at the associate degree level.

  • Plan, organize, and deliver instructional content for diverse student populations.

  • Integrate real-world industry knowledge and practices into classroom and laboratory teaching.

  • Assess student performance, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate academic records.

  • Foster a collaborative and professional learning environment that emphasizes ethical standards.

  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to support program goals and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline from an accredited college or university (combinations of education and industry experience may substitute).

  • Five years of evidenced industry experience.

  • Proven history of ethical and professional behavior.

  • Valid Oklahoma driver’s license.

  • A.S.E. Master Certification.

Work Schedule: Variable (based on course requirements).
Appointment Length: Up to 12 months.
Hiring Range: Salary commensurate with education and experience.
