Description:
We are seeking highly motivated and entrepreneurial individuals to serve as Business Development Specialists (BDS). In this competitive, volunteer-based role, BDS team members help fuel the growth of EOT by identifying sponsors, donors, grantmakers, and brand partners who align with our mission. This is an ideal opportunity for aspiring entrepreneurs, fundraisers, marketers, or professionals looking to sharpen their business development skills while making a lasting impact.
Key Responsibilities
Prospecting & Pipeline Building
- Research and identify aligned sponsors, foundations, and grant opportunities
- Build and manage a pipeline of leads in collaboration with the BDM and grant team
- Input and maintain opportunities in tracking tools (Airtable, Google Sheets)
Outreach & Relationship Building
- Draft and personalize emails, LOIs, and sponsorship outreach messages
- Join introductory meetings or presentations as needed with the President or Fundraising Lead
- Represent EOT with professionalism and mission alignment in all communications
Proposal & Application Support
- Collaborate with the team on sponsorship decks, grant narratives, and pitch materials
- Support data gathering and storytelling for proposal submission
- Track status of deliverables and ensure all deadlines are met
Collaboration & Internal Reporting
- Attend weekly check-ins with the Business Development Team
- Share status updates, wins, and challenges via Basecamp or team dashboard
- Meet performance benchmarks and contribute to team milestones
Qualifications
We’re looking for individuals who are:
- Passionate about EOT’s mission and youth empowerment
- Strong communicators with excellent research and writing skills
- Self-starters with an entrepreneurial spirit and ability to work independently
- Familiar with tools like Google Workspace, Airtable, and CRM systems (training provided)
- Comfortable with outreach and excited to build partnerships
- Experience in fundraising, sales, or business development (preferred but not required)
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in Business, Marketing, Social Impact, or a related field
