Corporate Associate Attorney

Levun, Goodman & Cohen, LLP, a boutique law firm based in Northbrook, Illinois, with specializations in corporate, tax, real estate, and estate planning law, is seeking a highly motivated Corporate Associate Attorney. The ideal candidate will have 2–5 years of experience handling a range of corporate law matters, particularly those involving contract drafting, mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, capital raises, corporate restructurings, entity formation, and commercial agreements. No portable book of business is required. This is a partnership-track position, ideal for someone who wants long-term growth within a reputable and collaborative law firm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and revise a wide range of corporate transactional documents such as:

  • Operating agreements

  • Purchase and sale agreements

  • Shareholder and employment agreements

• Provide legal support throughout the entire lifecycle of M&A transactions

• Spot legal and business issues and escalate appropriately to senior attorneys

• Collaborate and communicate effectively with clients, partners, and internal teams

• Develop subject matter expertise in corporate law and participate in business development initiatives

Required Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school

• Active membership in good standing with the Illinois State Bar

• Minimum 2 years of legal experience in corporate law practice

• Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and project management skills

• Self-starter with business development interest and initiative
