Description:

Capital One is currently seeking a Commercial Real Estate Relationship Manager (CRE RM) Analyst – Senior Associate to support its Agency Lending platform. This role will involve close collaboration with Relationship Managers and Underwriters to assess the creditworthiness of commercial real estate loan proposals, assist with structuring and negotiating deals, and help secure approvals.

The position requires a strong understanding of real estate markets, financial modeling, credit risk analysis, and agency guidelines. The analyst will perform deep due diligence on loan requests and support the business objectives of Capital One’s growing commercial real estate finance division.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth analysis of commercial real estate loan requests, including market research, rent/sale comparables, capitalization rates, vacancy trends, and broader market data.

• Build and analyze complex financial models for evaluating CRE transactions and summarizing key insights.

• Collaborate with Relationship Managers to structure loan deals and submit them for formal agency quotes.

• Review and interpret real estate documents such as leases, loan agreements, and appraisals to identify risks or concerns.

• Continuously develop a strong understanding of credit concepts, loan policies, and risk management.

• Gain proficiency in production analysis systems and commercial real estate evaluation tools.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or military experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in multifamily underwriting or agency underwriting/screening

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of experience with affordable or targeted affordable multifamily housing underwriting/screening

Compensation and Benefits:

• Annual Salary (NYC): $118900 – $135700

• Monthly Equivalent: $9908 – $11308

• Incentives: Performance-based bonus eligibility, which may include discretionary or non-discretionary cash bonuses and long-term incentives (LTI)
