Description:

Duties

  • You will support the Child and Youth Program providing assistance to the manager(s) in the daily operation of the Child Development Center and School Age Care Program in program planning and delivery.
  • You will serve as a team leader for program staff with responsibility for the operation and program in accordance with applicable regulations in one or more Children and Youth Programs.
  • You will maintain control and account for the whereabouts and safety of children and youth ranging in age from 6 weeks to 18 years.
  • You will oversee arrival and departure, and supervise participants during daily schedule of indoor and outdoor activities and on field trips, outings, and special events.
  • You will plan, coordinate and conduct activities for program participants based on observed needs of individual children and youth,

  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination and annual physicals thereafter.
  • You may be required to non-standard work schedules and extended hours of work from time-to-time.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You must provide evidence of immunization and be free from communicable disease.
  • Must maintain current CPR and First Aid certifications.
  • Must be able to lift 45 lbs. independently and over 45 lbs. with assistance.
