Description:
The Electrical Estimator develops detailed cost projections for industrial construction projects, concentrating on all electrical‑related scopes. This role involves evaluating labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor inputs to build accurate bids and support overall project strategy. The estimator also communicates key cost considerations and value drivers throughout the proposal process.
Responsibilities
- Lead the full electrical estimating effort, coordinating all related scopes, directing tasks within the team, and managing supplier/subcontractor pricing requests.
- Support preconstruction and planning by developing execution strategies, manpower projections, and participating in site visits, internal reviews, and turnover meetings.
- Engage in ongoing communication and oversight through customer interaction and regular involvement in weekly estimating sessions, project reviews, and executive approvals.
Qualifications
- Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent. Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or journeyman electrician credentials preferred.
- Background in creating early‑stage conceptual estimates, pricing electrical work across all voltage levels, preparing design‑build cost models, and generating square‑foot calculations and unit‑based bids.
- Electrical construction installation knowledge
- Trimble Accubid software knowledge is a big plus
- Industry knowledge in commercial, industrial, power, oil and gas, food/beverage/agriculture and/or water.
- Competence with the National Electrical Code
