Employees will complete all required regulatory/safety training & will follow all safety rules & requirements including maintaining a clean work area.
Receives wiring diagrams, drawings, specifications, and instructions covering the scheduled and emergency repair, installation, and inspection work to be done.
Provides general assistance in assessing all types of circuits, wiring diagrams, and drawings as required to install, repair, adjust, calibrate, program, time, construct, modify, or service all types of electrical and electronic devices and systems, including communication systems, various mill and production equipment, electronic computing and control systems power and distribution control equipment, measuring, recording, processing and control devices, indicating devices and gauges, etc.
Plans details of working procedure to find material or replacement needs and selects a logical approach to "trouble shooting" and repair problems. Answers trouble calls.
Makes sketches of parts and layouts.
Assembles, installs conduit, inspects, adjusts, repairs, or replaces faulty parts and wiring on all types of electronic devices. Uses test equipment and hand tools to locate and properly repair equipment to ensure it is operating safely, efficiently, and effectively.
Installs conduit, switches, controls, and fixtures. Assists in the connection of all types of electrical or electronic equipment as required for new equipment installation or replacements.
Assist in the installation, repair, replacement and maintenance of high voltage switch gear, cables, insulators, bushings, etc.
Utilize all required computer systems for planning, executing, and reporting
Certification in fork truck, various overhead cranes, man-lifts (scissor lifts) and other mobile equipment as required in maintenance activities.
Performs all other plant electrical maintenance as required.
Perform other duties and work assignments as required and directed
Works with repair crews as directed.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED with Successful completion of all requirements necessary to graduate from the Wilton Maintenance Training Program and/or successfully meeting the following requirements
Passing the proficiency tests for the various coursework of the Wilton Maintenance Training Program or
Equivalent maintenance work experience in an industrial environment performing the technical requirements
Open to working a rotating shift that includes days, afternoons, nights and weekends.
