Finance & Accounting Director (Commercial Real Estate)

Location: Aventura, FL (4x in office)

We are representing a rapidly growing commercial real estate investment firm with a portfolio of industrial assets seeking a Finance & Accounting Director to oversee financial operations including managing cash flows, investor distributions, financial reporting, and budgeting, while working closely with leadership and external accountants. The role is ideal for someone with a strong background in real estate finance or accounting who enjoys working in an entrepreneurial environment and partnering directly with ownership.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee portfolio financials, including property-level P&L reviews and cash flow analysis
• Manage treasury and cash activity, including wires and capital flows
• Monitor and coordinate investor equity contributions and distributions
• Prepare cash flow statements and financial reporting for leadership and investors
• Work with external accountants on tax reporting and K-1 preparation
• Lead budgeting and forecasting, including T-12 analysis and operating forecasts (taxes, insurance, etc.)
• Maintain and improve financial reporting through Yardi Voyager and CommercialCafe
• Support leadership with financial analysis related to acquisitions and portfolio growth

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in real estate finance, accounting, or portfolio management
• Experience working with commercial real estate portfolios or real estate investment firms
• Familiarity with property financial statements, investor distributions, and cash flow reporting
• Experience with Yardi Voyager or similar real estate systems preferred
• Strong Excel and financial analysis skills

Compensation

• Base Salary: $130,000 – $170,000 + Bonus
