Investment Analyst

Description:

PGIM Real Estate, the global asset management business of Prudential Financial, is seeking a Senior Investment Analyst to join their Agency Lending Underwriting Team. This position is based in Manhattan, NY, and offers a hybrid work arrangement.

The analyst will play a critical role in supporting the underwriting of real estate transactions. This includes financial modeling, in-depth property analysis, and information reporting. The individual will provide operational support to underwriters while gaining exposure to real estate finance, credit assessment, and valuation across a broad range of capital sources.

The role is structured as a three-year developmental assignment, with the possibility of extension based on performance and business needs. It’s ideal for candidates passionate about real estate finance, especially those with an interest in affordable housing and community development programs like LIHTC, Section 8, and tax-exempt bond financing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze potential real estate transactions using financial modeling

• Work with underwriting teams to assess deal structure and credit risk

• Support senior team members on various assignments

• Collaborate professionally with internal stakeholders, originators, borrowers, and investors

• Maintain data tracking for deals and performance metrics

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Real Estate preferred

• 1–3 years of experience in financial analysis or real estate underwriting

• Strong quantitative, organizational, and communication skills

• Familiarity with affordable housing programs is highly desirable

• Demonstrated commitment to community development and mission-driven finance
