It Program/project Manager With Gis Expertise

KPG99 Inc. is seeking a senior-level IT Program/Project Manager with GIS expertise to join its Business Technology – GIS Center of Excellence (COE). The ideal candidate will lead large-scale IT programs (with budgets ranging from $5M-$50M+ annually) that support Gas, Electric, Power Generation, IT Fiber, and other functional areas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage GIS programs with annual budgets of $5M-$50M+.
• Work alongside other Program/Project Managers in parallel workstreams.
• Develop and implement strategic plans for IT programs/projects (goals, timelines, KPIs).
• Manage program budgets, ensuring financial resources are allocated effectively.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks impacting program success.
• Lead cross-functional teams, ensuring seamless collaboration across departments.
• Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, including senior leadership.
• Plan and coordinate Officer-level engagement events with key leaders.
• Track project milestones, ensuring objectives and expected outcomes are met.
• Ensure compliance with internal audit requirements and project governance.
• Support General Rate Case (GRC) data requests.
• Forecast project resource, material, and costs accurately using standard tools.
• Exercise autonomy, independent judgment, and discretion in high-complexity projects.

Required Skills & Experience:

✔ 10+ years of IT project/program management experience.
✔ Proven expertise in leading large-scale IT projects (budgets between $5M-$50M+).
✔ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
✔ Hands-on experience with ESRI technology suite (ArcGIS, etc.).
✔ Strong Agile project management skills.
✔ Cloud-based implementation experience.
✔ Technical background preferred (GIS Product Engineer Lead transitioning to Project Management is acceptable).
✔ 3-5 years of large program management experience.
✔ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Additional Requirements:

• Must be willing to relocate within 50 miles of Oakland headquarters (relocation assistance provided).
• Must have strong stakeholder management skills, particularly for senior leadership.
