Description:

Roche Bros. Supermarkets is seeking a Kitchen- Prep Clerk to prepare food, display products, and maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. The role requires dedication to excellent customer service, food safety, and teamwork. The position is ideal for individuals interested in food preparation and retail services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and display food products ensuring freshness, rotation, and proper stocking.

• Provide excellent customer service, assisting customers with questions or product selection.

• Follow sanitation guidelines, proper food handling practices, and safety standards.

• Maintain kitchen cleanliness, including utensils, equipment, display cases, and counters.

• Restock supplies efficiently and minimize waste.

• Monitor cooler and display temperatures; report refrigeration issues immediately.

• Operate and clean department equipment, including slicers, ovens, fryers, mixers, and other kitchen tools.

• Participate in onboarding, e-learning, and departmental training programs.

• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older.

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

• Completion of company training program and a food safety course (mini class or full certification).

• Authorized to work in the U.S.

• Capable of handling physical demands, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing/walking for long periods, and operating kitchen equipment safely.

Physical Demands & Safety:

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and handling equipment.

• Exposure to loud noise, hot/cold temperatures, and cleaning chemicals.

• Operation of mechanical and sharp kitchen tools safely is required.
