Description:

Chipotle Mexican Grill is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Leader to join their team in St. Petersburg, FL. The Kitchen Leader plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality, safety, and efficiency of food preparation while fostering a culture of teamwork and leadership development. This position emphasizes hands-on food preparation, kitchen management, and training of Crew members to become future Kitchen Leaders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure food quality by cooking and prepping food according to Chipotle standards and kitchen procedures.

  • Monitor food waste, inventory levels, and resolve any food quality issues promptly.

  • Support a strong team dynamic between back-of-house and front-of-house Crew.

  • Develop and mentor Crew members to become future Kitchen Leaders.

  • Communicate effectively with Crew members and customers to maintain excellent customer service and operational flow.

  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, ensuring all sanitation standards are met.

  • Monitor kitchen equipment, ensure proper maintenance, and facilitate timely repairs of any malfunctioning equipment.

  • Ensure compliance with safety guidelines to prevent injuries or accidents.

  • Complete Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and ensure proper inventory rotation (FIFO).

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Prior restaurant experience is required.

  • Ability to understand and articulate Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy.

  • Ability to speak, write, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location.
