Maintenance Supervisor

 

Description:


The role of the Maintenance Supervisor is to oversee a team of skilled aviation technicians who support Test and Evaluation Programs. This includes the assembly, maintenance, modification, and testing of aircraft. The team's primary responsibility is to ensure that all work is carried out safely and in accordance with Supernal and industry guidelines. This involves performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, preventative maintenance, modifications, inspections, functional tests, and troubleshooting.

This position will be required to work on-site 5 days a week.

What you can do:
 

  • Oversee a team of maintenance technicians and assign them daily and long-term tasks
  • Performance manage a team of maintenance technicians by setting goals, providing feedback, coaching, and conducting regular performance evaluations
  • Monitor the attendance of maintenance technicians by approving time off requests, making edits to the schedule as necessary, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Ensure adherence to company safety and operating policies/procedures
  • Ensure the workforce is appropriately trained for the safe execution of required tasks
  • Interface with Program & Project Leaders, Engineering, Safety, Quality Management, Procurement, Program Management Office, and Test organization members
  • Schedule maintenance and test activities
  • Test Article Build and Maintenance
  • Test Configuration Management
  • Oversee the management of ground support equipment
  • Coordinate the maintenance schedules for test assets
  • Up to 25% of domestic and international travel
  • Other duties as assigned

     

What you can contribute:
 

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in aerospace (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered)
  • Experience in leading a team of technical personnel
  • Experience in Program Management
  • Experience in Test and Evaluation
  • Experience with Aviation FOD and GOP programs
  • Proficiency in conflict resolution
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proactive delivery of communication and follow-up
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Must have the ability to independently prioritize and accomplish work within time constraints
