Maintenance Technician

Description:

As a Maintenance Technician at Invitation Homes, you will be responsible for performing high-quality maintenance work in single-family rental homes while providing outstanding customer service to residents. You will be tasked with completing maintenance service requests, performing proactive maintenance, and educating residents on maintenance topics. The role also involves completing property condition assessments, performing repairs in vacant properties, and maintaining company-supplied tools, materials, and vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete maintenance service requests across multiple trades.

• Provide excellent customer service and promote quality living experiences for residents.

• Complete regular ProCare visits and perform proactive maintenance.

• Review technician-specific reports to find improvement opportunities.

• Perform repairs in vacant properties during the market or turn process.

• Ensure proper use and care of company-supplied tools and vehicles.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• OSHA 10 certification (new hires have 90 days to complete if not already certified).

• Proven experience in residential repairs and maintenance or related experience.

• Ability to perform general repairs in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, sheetrock, exterior structural, HVAC (minor), and appliances.

• Excellent customer service and communication skills; multi-lingual a plus.

• Comfort with using mobile devices (iPad and/or iPhone) and mobile apps.

• Current driver's license and automobile insurance.

• Preferred certifications: EPA Certification (Type I and II), HVAC Certification, CPO (pool) certification.

• Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed.

• Ability to lift/move more than 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.

Compensation:

• Hourly pay: $19.11 - $33.13 per hour.
