Marketing Communications Intern

Description:

We are seeking a passionate and creative Marketing & Communications Intern to support our community outreach and marketing efforts. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in social media management, community engagement, and grassroots marketing while making a meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with planning and scheduling social media content (Instagram, Facebook)
• Draft engaging captions and create visual assets using Canva or similar tools
• Research local events, businesses, and schools for partnership and tabling opportunities
• Help coordinate email campaigns and promotions for swim events and fundraisers
• Track social media metrics and recommend content strategies based on performance
• Support the promotion of special events, such as Parents Night Out, in partnership with Hope Floats Foundation
• Represent Manta’s mission in a positive, community-focused light

Qualifications:

• Interest in marketing, communications, education, or nonprofit work
• Strong written communication skills and a creative eye for social media
• Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently
• Experience with Canva, Meta Business Suite, or similar platforms is a plus
• Passion for youth programs, water safety, and community impact
