Mcm Staff Design Engineer

Description:

Skyworks Solutions, Inc. is seeking an EM / MCM Staff Design Engineer to join their Mobile Solutions Business filter team. The engineer will design and analyze complex RF modules, integrating multiple dice from various technologies to achieve best-in-class performance for cellphones and other wireless devices. The role involves EM analysis of active and passive RF circuits, design of impedance matching networks, couplers, filters, and embedded passives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Integrate filters with RF front-end modules for optimal performance.

• Design embedded antenna multiplexers to support multi-band operations.

• Conduct EM analysis of RF assemblies using HFSS and other simulation tools.

• Collaborate with product teams to devise solutions meeting or exceeding customer requirements.

• Explore, devise, and prototype various RF circuits.

Qualifications:

• Deep understanding of RF and microwave theories (S-parameters, transmission lines, couplers, dividers, etc.).

• Track record in analysis and implementation of on-die passives for high-efficiency, wideband PAs and LNAs.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; positive, can-do attitude.

• Experience in RF lab testing and EM simulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in design of acoustic filters.

• Scripting for automation of EM simulations.

• Experience with thermal or multi-physics simulation tools (COMSOL, ADS Electro-Thermal).

• Ability to troubleshoot common simulation problems such as non-convergence or low accuracy.
