Duties

• Review calculations and designs prepared by design engineers, architect/ engineer firms for maintenance and repair (M and R) and new construction projects to identify energy related implications, develop and present alternatives.
• Conduct engineering analyses and diagnostics to identify new designs, layouts, equipment, materials or building automation systems to optimize energy usage.
• Maintain the Installation Energy and Water Security Plan, the Meter Data Management Program, and the Central Heating and Cooling Plants efficient operation.
• Conduct Utility Monitoring and Control System (UMCS) surveys and trends of energy and water consuming utility systems, building and facilities, and other projects and structures to identity opportunities for improved energy and water management.
• Manage the Utility Monitoring and Control System (UMCS) to optimize energy use through analysis of the data provided by the system and make recommendations of equipment and programs to enhance UMCS effectiveness.
• Coordinate with Utility Privatization Engineers and system owners for connections and impacts of new projects on utility distribution systems to include electrical, nature gas, water, and sewer.

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position requires a valid, State-issued motor vehicle driver's license.
• This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
• The position requires TDY up to 5% of the time.
• The incumbent must obtain and maintain COR certifications within 6 months of coming onboard. The COR must be trained IAW the DOD COR and Army nomination and certification standard, which defines minimum COR competencies, experience and training.
