Museum Store Assistant

Description:

The Museum Store Assistant greets visitors, sells merchandise and food in the Curiosity Shop and assists with the day-to-day operations of the Curiosity Shop, including inventory re-stocking, store display maintenance and daily cash deposits. They provide a welcoming and inclusive environment to all visitors and are the face of the museum.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED and at least 2 years retail/museum operations experience
• Ability to problem-solve quickly & work independently
• Experience communicating with diverse populations of differing ages and backgrounds
• Good organizational skills, ability to multi-task and attention to detail
• Must successfully pass background check
• Proven history of 2 years using the Counterpoint Sales system
• Proven history of 2 years using the J4M Merchant parking system
• Cash handling experience at a high volume for at least 2 years
