• Located on the 7th Floor of the Norm Maleng Building, the Kidney Clinic at Harborview Medical Center specializes in difficult-to-control hypertension, medical kidney disease of all types, kidney stone diseases and acid-based and fluid balance disorders.
  
  We help adult patients with kidney failure undergoing hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis. We also treat kidney transplant patients including adjusting their transplant medications.
  
  We provide comprehensive, quality service to our patients while simultaneously training future generations of physicians. We also participate in clinical research projects that seek to improve quality of life for patients with kidney disease.
  
  PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Supervise PSS staff and will perform duties of a PSS
• Coordinate the day-to-day operations
• Monitor PSS staff assignments and makes adjustments as needed to ensure critical needs are met
• Complete new employee competencies, consistently complete annual competencies
• Conduct the interview process for all new PSS applicants
• Participate in clinical leadership meetings
• Advocate for patient/family by locating appropriate staff to address concerns
• Act promptly and effectively in managing self, patient and other employees during an emergency situation
• Maintain/improve own clinical professional competence, knowledge and skills to meet identified self-learning needs and annual review requirements
  
  REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
• A Bachelor’s Degree in a medically related or public relations field
  AND
• One year experience in a healthcare setting which includes lead responsibility
  OR
• An equivalent combination of education/experience
