Description:
The Red Hat Hybrid Cloud Platforms team is looking for a Product Manager to collaborate across a diverse set of stakeholders from engineering to customers and product management, supporting product development for Red Hat OpenShift.
What You Will Do
- Collaborate with engineering teams and a broad set of stakeholders to design, develop, and enhance software programs in solving complex problems
- Collect and document input from Red Hat OpenShift users, customers, community members, and other stakeholders to understand customer needs and requirements
- Partner with engineering and other product management and customer-facing teams across the company
- Research competitive solutions, both commercial and do-it-yourself alternatives, documenting their relative strengths and weaknesses to develop competitive solutions; collect input for new releases
- Prioritize and document requirements, epics, and user stories for new releases of our offerings
- Coordinate with your peers globally to ensure collaboration and consistency with content tasks
What You Will Bring
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Business Management or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Adaptability and solid problem-solving skills
- Understanding of open source behaviors and industry trends
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work under tight deadlines when necessary
- Familiar with Google Workspace, e.g., Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Drive
- Experience with the Agile development process
- Experience (internship experience is acceptable) in enterprise software industry in a product management, engineering, or a similar technical product development role
- Development skills in or experience with Java, Node.js, Python, PHP, Ruby, or similar
- Exposure to Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or similar cloud or application management solutions
- Basic Linux skills required
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills in English
