The Production Test Technician will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability and performance of these technologies through precise testing, troubleshooting, and validation processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and monitor both automated and manual test equipment to evaluate electronic assemblies and components.

  • Conduct a wide range of electrical tests (AC/DC, functional, and parametric) based on established test plans and engineering specifications.

  • Perform calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of electronic circuits, instruments, and mechanical assemblies.

  • Use diagnostic tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, and specialized test programs to detect and resolve performance issues.

  • Collaborate with Manufacturing and Design Engineers to determine root causes of test failures and assist in process improvement.

  • Execute equipment calibration and minor maintenance to ensure ongoing accuracy and operational efficiency.

  • Maintain detailed records of test data and results using KLA’s internal tracking systems (eQuality).

  • Participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) testing activities and assist engineers with validation of test programs.

  • Maintain a clean, organized workstation in compliance with 5S, ESD, and safety protocols.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in alignment with lean manufacturing principles.

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field (or equivalent military/industry experience).

  • 0–3 years of experience in semiconductor, electronics, or high-tech manufacturing environments.

  • Hands-on experience using testing and measurement tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and curve tracers.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical schematics, test procedures, and engineering drawings.

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities with attention to detail.

  • Familiarity with semiconductor components (diodes, transistors, ICs) and cleanroom practices preferred.

  • Capable of standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.

  • Good communication and teamwork skills, with a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in cleanroom or regulated manufacturing environments.

  • Knowledge of MES systems, SPC, and yield tracking tools.

  • Certification in IPC or ESD procedures.

  • Basic computer proficiency for data entry and documentation tasks.

  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, precision, and quality standards.

Work Environment

This role operates primarily in a lab-based manufacturing environment, involving routine handling of electronic assemblies and frequent use of diagnostic and testing equipment. Candidates should be comfortable with standing, walking, and repetitive hand motions during shift hours.
