Quality Technician

Description:

Kellanova is hiring a Quality Technician to support food safety and quality assurance functions at their Cincinnati, OH Bakery. As the frontline resource for food safety on-shift, you will play a vital role in maintaining standards, supporting production, and driving continuous improvement.

This position offers an exciting opportunity for professionals passionate about food quality to work collaboratively with a highly engaged team. You will be responsible for responding to food safety incidents, verifying critical control points, performing environmental monitoring, and ensuring compliance with the Kellanova Food Safety Plan. The position runs Monday through Thursday, from 2 PM to 12 AM, and is fully on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide on-shift quality and food safety support

• Verify Certificates of Analyses (COAs) for incoming raw materials and packaging

• Respond to food safety incidents and execute environmental monitoring

• Conduct daily product evaluations, internal audits, and food safety/security audits

• Lead or support employee training in food safety, HACCP, GMPs, and SOPs

• Support plant projects and continuous improvement initiatives

• Serve as an internal auditor for critical programs and assist with equipment/product launches

• Ensure constant audit readiness and hazard identification

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED

• Previous experience in food manufacturing or quality assurance

• Knowledge of food safety and microbiology

• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

• Experience with SAP (preferred)

• Ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced environments

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary range: 47,520 – 62,370 USD annually (approx. 3960 – 5197.5 USD monthly)
