Seasonal Team Member

Description:

At Home Group Inc., a leading home and holiday décor superstore, is seeking energetic and motivated Seasonal Team Members to join their team in Woodbridge, VA. This role supports all operational, front-end, freight, and merchandising processes while promoting an active selling culture that enhances the customer experience.

The Seasonal Team Member will be responsible for carrying out a variety of tasks, including lifting, stocking, cashiering, and maintaining store standards, ensuring all company processes are adhered to in order to drive sales and provide exceptional customer service. This is a temporary position designed to provide support during peak seasons, with the potential to transition into part-time or full-time regular roles.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a positive attitude and execute company directives, policies, and procedures with urgency and accuracy.

• Provide excellent customer service and create a customer-focused shopping environment.

• Perform cashier and front-end duties, ensuring smooth and accurate transactions.

• Process freight, stock products in designated areas, and follow store merchandising guidelines.

• Participate in store recovery, conditioning, and housekeeping tasks inside and outside the building.

• Complete daily/weekly workload efficiently and on time.

• Actively contribute to customer satisfaction, inventory control, safety, and loss prevention efforts.

• Perform all other duties as assigned based on business needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum age: 18 years.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Strong verbal, written, and comprehension skills.

• Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs individually or 100 lbs as a team.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and reach for prolonged periods.

• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and trustworthy behavior.

• Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.

• Flexible, creative, and able to handle shifting priorities.

Working Conditions

• Requires lifting heavy items (up to 50 lbs individually, 100 lbs team lift).

• Flexible scheduling including nights, weekends, and holidays.
