The Senior Account Executive will focus on driving growth in diagnostic pathology and precision oncology accounts in South Florida. This role involves building strong partnerships with healthcare providers and increasing tissue testing volume across hospitals, oncology centers, and physician networks.
Tissue Volume Growth:
Drive overall Guardant 360 tissue testing volume in assigned regions.
Promote precision oncology diagnostics and Guardant Health testing portfolio.
Sales & Business Development:
Execute laboratory service agreements and break down ordering barriers.
Negotiate pricing agreements and manage pricing exceptions.
Collaborate with Key Account Directors/Managers on contracts and partnerships.
Present services to C-level hospital and pathology executives.
Target and close new business opportunities at community oncology settings and academic cancer centers.
Manage and expand existing accounts to ensure retention and satisfaction.
Work with internal teams to resolve client issues.
Forecast sales and manage account pipelines via CRM.
Facilitate FFPE tissue processing and reimbursement agreements.
Client Relationship Building:
Establish and maintain relationships with pathologists (including Chiefs of Pathology), oncologists, hospital administrators, and department staff.
Education & Training:
Deliver training on pathology workflows, diagnostic tests, and technology.
Build clinical consensus on molecular diagnostic pathways.
Train healthcare staff on EMR-integrated oncology workflows.
Strategic Collaboration:
Collaborate with Oncology Sales, Medical Affairs, IT, Customer Service, and Key Accounts teams.
Engage with healthcare professionals in oncology and pathology innovation.
7+ years of account management experience in pathology sales, diagnostics, lab services, or oncology-related roles.
Deep knowledge of FFPE Tissue based NGS/Comprehensive Genomic Profiling (CGP) testing.
Strong understanding of pathology workflows, molecular diagnostics, and oncology therapeutics.
Customer-first mindset with the ability to influence clinical decision-makers.
Proven track record in consultative sales environments.
Familiarity with pathology billing, reimbursement, and lab contracting is a plus.
Proficiency with CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) and Microsoft Office.
Willingness to travel more than 50% within the assigned territory.
Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, pathology, business, or a related field required.
Advanced degree or clinical/lab background is a plus.
Salary range: $158,400 - $237,600 annually (excluding benefits, bonus, commission, or equity).
Work mostly in an office environment; some exposure to lab environments with possible noise, fumes, and biohazards.
May require lifting routine office supplies and sitting for extended periods.
