Senior Associate

Description:

The Senior Associate, General Ledger at RWE Clean Energy, LLC will play a crucial role in delivering timely month-end financial results and ensuring efficient account reconciliation. This position will collaborate with the Controlling Team to maintain a high-quality culture and continuously improve accounting and reporting processes. The Senior Associate will be responsible for month-end close duties, preparing journal entries, and reconciling balance sheet accounts. Additionally, the role will involve providing ad hoc analysis, responding to accounting inquiries, and ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform month-end close duties including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and roll forward schedules.

• Prepare monthly/quarterly US GAAP financial statements for review by the FR team.

• Review and approve journal entries and reconciliations from peers.

• Provide ad hoc analysis for internal customers and assist in special projects.

• Respond to accounting-related inquiries from both internal and external auditors.

• Establish best practices related to the month-end close and account reconciliation processes.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA license preferred, not required).

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in relevant work in the energy industry or related field.

• Technical Knowledge: Familiar with IFRS and US GAAP, and ERP systems (SAP preferred).

• Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams).

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.

• Motivated self-starter with a goal-oriented mindset and strong problem-solving abilities.
