Senior Electrical Engineer

Description:

ABB is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to contribute to its Process Automation Energy Industries Division. This role involves overseeing project execution, contract compliance, electrical design, and system integration for E-Houses and control buildings housing switchgear, automation, and telecom equipment. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in developing engineering solutions that drive sustainability, automation, and electrification in key industrial sectors, including pharmaceuticals, power generation, and renewable energy.

Key Responsibilities:

✔ Electrical Design & Integration: Work on E-Houses and control buildings, integrating switchgear, automation, HVAC, and telecom equipment.
✔ Relay Integration & Programming: Implement relay protection and control schemes.
✔ Project Management: Develop project schedules, coordinate technical activities, and ensure compliance with customer and company standards.
✔ Technical Documentation: Prepare Single Line Diagrams, Power System Studies (Arc Flash, Load Flow, Short Circuit, etc.), Network Diagrams, Protective Device Settings, and Substation Layouts.
✔ Cross-functional Collaboration: Engage with customers, engineers, and project stakeholders to optimize project execution.

Candidate Requirements:

✔ Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent (required)
✔ Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, working on detailed designs
✔ Strong expertise in HV/MV/LV switchgear, motor controls, VFDs, transformers, or electrical SCADA systems
✔ Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred
✔ Fluency in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
✔ US work authorization required (no relocation reimbursement available)
