The selected candidate will play a vital role in leading investigations, collaborating with legal counsel, analyzing coverage, and negotiating settlements in major and catastrophic claims.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and resolve high-exposure, complex commercial general liability and New York Labor Law claims with professionalism and precision.

• Conduct detailed investigations into large and catastrophic losses to determine liability and coverage.

• Analyze construction contracts and insurance policies to identify coverage issues, exclusions, and risk transfer opportunities.

• Work closely with panel counsel to develop effective litigation and defense strategies.

• Review evidence, expert reports, and medical records to evaluate claims thoroughly.

• Conduct interviews with insureds, claimants, and witnesses to gather key details and documentation.

• Establish and maintain accurate indemnity and expense reserves.

• Process settlements and payments promptly, ensuring compliance with company procedures.

• Attend hearings, mediations, trials, and conferences as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

Required:

• At least 10 years of experience adjusting CGL and BOP liability claims.

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience handling New York Labor Law claims with exposures exceeding $500,000.

• Bachelor’s degree (Attorney license preferred).

• Strong knowledge of insurance coverage analysis, policy interpretation, and risk transfer mechanisms.

• Excellent written, verbal, and negotiation skills.

• Highly organized with strong time management and multitasking abilities.

• Proficiency in claims systems, digital documentation, and Microsoft Office tools.

• Willingness to travel occasionally for hearings and mediations.
