EY seeks a Senior Manager – AI Strategy (Oil & Gas) to lead enterprise AI strategy, quantitative modeling, and Generative/Agentic AI initiatives within the Oil & Gas sector. This role involves spearheading high-impact consulting engagements across upstream, midstream, and downstream operations, focusing on responsible AI adoption, MLOps, and value-driven transformation.
Lead complex AI strategy engagements, ensuring quality and risk management.
Partner with senior business and IT leaders to identify AI opportunities aligned with oil & gas value chains (e.g., drilling, trading, predictive maintenance).
Define and operationalize AI governance frameworks ensuring responsible, ethical, and compliant AI adoption.
Drive AI solution design including Generative AI, Agentic AI, and ModelOps/MLOps practices.
Manage client relationships, budgets, and resource allocation for successful delivery.
Lead multidisciplinary teams of data scientists, engineers, and consultants.
Serve as a thought leader in AI technologies including foundation models, RAG, and autonomous agents.
Champion internal innovation in Responsible AI, agentic workflows, and energy-sector-specific AI solutions.
Required:
Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred in Computer Science, Applied Math, or related field).
10+ years in technology consulting, digital transformation, or AI business solutions.
5+ years leading AI/ML projects with executive stakeholder engagement.
Strong expertise in AI platforms, data architecture, and emerging technologies.
Hands-on experience with Generative AI (OpenAI, Hugging Face, LangChain, RAG).
Proficiency in Python, Pandas, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Spark, SQL.
Familiarity with CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, MLFlow.
Strong oil & gas industry knowledge.
Preferred:
Experience with ESG data, climate risk modeling, and regulatory compliance in energy.
AI certifications (Microsoft, AWS, NVIDIA, Databricks, or equivalent).
Background in agile delivery models and design thinking.
Experience with agentic AI and autonomous decision-making systems.
Competitive salary: $144,000 – $329,100/year (higher in NYC Metro, WA, CA).
