Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Skilled Technician - Level III to join our team in Ladson, SC. In this role, you will perform maintenance and repair work involving the skills of multiple craft occupations to ensure that machines, mechanical equipment, and the structure of our establishment remain in optimal condition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand and power tools, and reassemble equipment.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure machines run smoothly and building systems operate efficiently.
- Inspect drives, motors, and belts; check fluid levels; replace filters; and perform other maintenance actions following checklists.
- Utilize a variety of tools, including common hand and power tools, precision measuring instruments, and electrical testing devices.
- Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, and equipment.
- Inspect, operate, and test machinery to diagnose malfunctions.
- Record the type and cost of maintenance or repair work.
- Clean and lubricate machinery parts, including shafts, bearings, and gears.
- Dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 5-7 years of relevant experience.
- Strong creativity, verbal and written communication skills, and analytical problem-solving abilities.
- Detail-oriented team player with a basic knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Understanding of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and techniques for maximizing effective manufacturing and distribution.
- Basic knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology.
