Description:

Leupold & Stevens, Inc., a renowned manufacturer of battle-tested optics and outdoor products, is seeking a Tool Crib Attendant for its Beaverton, Oregon facility. This full-time, on-site role operates on a Wednesday to Saturday schedule from 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM, offering a competitive hourly wage of $20–$23 (depending on experience), with an additional $3/hour shift differential.

The Tool Crib Attendant plays a crucial role in supporting production by handling tooling activities. Responsibilities include presetting tooling for CNC machines, issuing and receiving tools and production support items, ordering tooling based on inventory systems, and ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and delivery of these items.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set and calibrate tooling for CNC machines using a pre-setter.

  • Manage tool issuance and returns using inventory management systems.

  • Prepare production jobs with correct tooling and offset data.

  • Inspect and measure tools using calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments.

  • Clean, maintain, and label tools and workstations to meet safety and operational standards.

  • Receive, unpack, and organize incoming supplies and tools.

  • Requisition and procure necessary tools from approved vendors.

  • Compare purchase orders with shipment documentation for accuracy.

  • Manage tool repair, sharpening, and fabrication requests.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in a tool crib or related role.

  • Proficiency in reading blueprints.

  • Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

  • Strong organizational skills and applied knowledge of tooling practices.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and inventory management systems.

  • Pallet forklift experience preferred.

Work Environment:
This position requires working in a manufacturing setting, with exposure to chemicals, machinery, and high noise levels. Candidates must be able to stand or sit for extended periods, use protective equipment, and lift up to 20 lbs. Manual dexterity, motor coordination, and visual acuity are necessary.
