What You’ll Do

• Write compelling research on Latin American foreign exchange markets and macro themes in the region
• Focus on delivering an innovative research product which continues to stand Deutsche Bank out from the street
• Be sensitive to the needs of our partners in the Business, e.g., by providing timely color on emerging macro trends and policy shifts in the region
• Work together with the broader macro research family at Deutsche Bank, contributing to team publications such as the Emerging Markets (EM) Outlook and FX Blueprint
• Provide actionable trade recommendations based on macro fundamentals
• Develop Deutsche Bank’s quantitative toolkit for EM currencies, creating new models, trading strategies, etc

How You’ll Lead

• Resourcefulness – The ability to take initiative and ownership of projects and assignments, at times with more autonomy and little direction
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills in working with the research team, sales force, trading, firm clients, and company contacts

Skills You’ll Need

• At least a Master’s degree, preferably in Economics, Finance or other related subjects
• Strong quantitative/econometric skills
• The position is client-facing and strong presentational skills are essential
• Spanish and preferably Portuguese language skills highly advantageous
• Experience in a macro research team and exposure to financial markets
