Description:
Mitchell Martin Inc. is seeking an experienced Vice President of Regulatory Change Management to lead their horizon scanning, regulatory assessment, and implementation functions in New York City. This is a full-time hybrid position with a highly competitive salary and significant responsibility in a fast-paced, regulatory-driven environment. The ideal candidate will have over a decade of experience in regulatory compliance, law, or policy and be deeply familiar with complex regulatory frameworks, especially in financial services or similarly regulated industries.
In this leadership role, the VP will drive the proactive identification and analysis of emerging regulatory changes, assess their implications, and communicate actionable insights across all business lines. This individual will play a critical role in maintaining regulatory compliance, shaping organizational response, and supporting enterprise-level risk management initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the horizon scanning process to identify and monitor upcoming regulatory changes at local, national, and global levels.
Perform line-by-line analysis of new regulatory and legislative developments, translating them into actionable requirements for internal stakeholders.
Conduct comprehensive impact assessments for business units, ensuring that changes are communicated clearly and incorporated effectively.
Maintain and update an internal regulatory library to ensure ongoing awareness of changes and compliance status.
Engage with industry associations to identify and respond to supervisory trends and evolving expectations.
Oversee advisory services related to new and revised regulatory obligations and ensure alignment with company policies and standards.
Monitor and track implementation progress of regulatory requirements and report status updates to senior management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, or a related field is required; JD or similar law degree is highly preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in regulatory change, legal advisory, compliance, or related domains.
Deep knowledge of regulatory frameworks, including U.S. and global financial regulations.
Strong analytical and interpretive skills for parsing complex regulatory documents and legislation.
Proven track record in regulatory change management, advisory, or compliance project leadership.
Experience building and maintaining a regulatory change repository or library.
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
Proficiency in office productivity tools and document management systems.
