Business Development Manager

 

Description:

The Technical Sales & Business Development Manager – Mooring Solutions will report to the Head of Technical Sales & Business Development Mooring Solution. Collaborating with Product Management, Inventory, Procurement, Pricing, Marketing, the Sales & Customer Services team as well as with Technical Sales & Business Development peers, across other regions.

What you will be doing:

  • Driving profitable sales growth on current and new customers within the respective product portfolio

  • Defining prioritised target lists, and following through with the respective activity required to close deals, demonstrating a best practice technical sales approach

  • Fostering strong relationships with customers, through high quality and frequent customer face to face meetings

  • Sourcing, developing, and maintaining multilevel entry points and relationships with customer target accounts

  • Working closely with Sales counterparts to define relevant integration within their Sales Activity Plans, ensuring tangible activities are owned and implemented

  • Building the sales pipeline to hit the targets as specified, based on quality opportunities on existing accounts (share of wallet) and new business

  • Securing strong focus and follow-up on NBI and DD (high value and other projects) opportunities in the pipeline

  • Proactively utilising the available sales tools to identify areas of growth for assigned product portfolio and facilitating respective actions with target customers

  • Holding the highest level of technical and practical understanding of Mooring business within the sales org. and applying this competency for commercial and customer facing purposes

  • Ensuring accurate and updated visit reports and pipeline opportunities are updated into the CRM system

  • Ensuring full compliance with WSS sales governance and risk management for own portfolio


What you need to be successful in this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent marine qualification preferred.

  • 3-5years relevant work experience with demonstrated achievements in sales

  • Preferably international sales experience in technical sales within sailing or other maritime engineering experience

  • Experience working with excel, MS office, CRM systems etc.
