Civil Litigation Associate

Description:

A highly regarded law firm with over 35 years of litigation experience seeks a Civil Litigation Associate to join its team in Chicago, IL. The firm is known for its strong relationships with major insurance companies and self-insured clients and provides a stable environment for attorneys to build long-term careers.

The role involves:

• Defending clients in civil litigation, primarily focusing on personal injury defense across auto-related claims, homeowners’ liability, premises liability, and park district consortiums.

• Managing complex depositions, mediations, and interactions with insurance representatives and expert witnesses, including medical professionals.

• Drafting motions, pleadings, discovery documents, and handling case strategy independently.

• Participating in alternative dispute resolution (ADR), particularly mediations, to achieve timely resolutions.

• Engaging directly with clients to ensure clear communication and effective representation.
