Habitat for Humanity of Seminole County & Greater Apopka is seeking a Construction Site Supervisor to lead and manage the on-site construction and repair of single-family homes. The ideal candidate will not only bring technical construction expertise but will also be able to work directly with volunteers, guiding them through various tasks to ensure quality, safety, and successful project outcomes.

This position requires hands-on construction supervision, volunteer management, coordination with the construction manager, and scheduling of subcontractors and inspections. The role plays a crucial part in delivering safe, decent, and affordable housing to families in the community, while ensuring that every volunteer has a meaningful and productive experience on site.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and educate 3 to 10 volunteers on various construction tasks, ensuring safety and quality of work.

  • Plan and manage daily job site operations including materials, tools, scheduling subcontractors, and maintaining site organization.

  • Ensure all safety protocols are followed and all tools and storage areas are secured at the end of each workday.

  • Communicate with the Construction Manager regarding material orders, delivery schedules, and subcontractor coordination.

  • Maintain accurate construction timelines with a two-week outlook and ensure timely completion of tasks.

  • Schedule, lead, and pass inspections with local building departments.

  • Oversee and maintain the organization and inventory of the warehouse and construction trailers.

  • Conduct quarterly warehouse cleanouts and manage surplus materials.

  • Support Habitat’s mission through positive customer service, strong team collaboration, and enthusiastic volunteer engagement.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of residential construction experience in a supervisory capacity, with strong framing and carpentry skills.

  • Familiarity with current residential building codes and new home construction processes.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), email, and online calendar tools.

  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills with a positive, can-do attitude.

  • Bilingual in Spanish or basic understanding preferred.

  • OSHA certification is a plus.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license, personal transportation, and mobile phone.

  • Passion for Habitat’s mission and the ability to guide and inspire volunteers and community members.


Work Conditions & Schedule:

  • Full-time, exempt position based on a Tuesday–Saturday schedule, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

  • Requires physical activity including lifting, walking, and standing for long durations.

  • Frequent local travel between job sites, office, and storage facilities.
