Delivery Specialist

Description:

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Delivery Specialist to join their team in Yucca Valley, California. In this on-site, full-time position, the Delivery Specialist is responsible for safely and efficiently transporting auto parts and products to professional customers using company vehicles. This role is essential in maintaining positive customer relations through prompt and professional service and by handling returns and payments.

The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, the ability to quickly recognize alphanumeric sequences, and be adaptable to dynamic delivery conditions. A clean driving record, vehicle operation knowledge, and excellent organizational skills are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Operate company vehicles for timely delivery of parts and products

• Use hand-held fleet management devices for processing, mileage tracking, and capturing customer signatures

• Maintain cleanliness and conduct daily inspections of delivery vehicles

• Secure fuel cards, keys, customer payments, and handheld devices

• Pick up returns (warranty, new, cores) and complete return documentation

• Report any vehicle maintenance issues or incidents to store management

• Assist with customer service, stocking, merchandising, and cashier tasks as needed

• Perform additional duties such as sweeping, checking in inventory, and core returns

Required Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record under the company's 14/18-point system

• Ability to match alphanumeric codes quickly

• Strong adaptability and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of automotive parts and store equipment

• Multilingual (especially Spanish) is a strong asset
