Warehouse Associate

Description:

Boone Concrete Supply, a veteran-operated foundation materials and supply company based in the High Country, is urgently seeking a dedicated Building Supply Sales and Warehouse Associate to join their on-site team in Boone, NC. The company specializes in providing essential materials for site preparation and concrete pouring (excluding concrete), and serves both homeowners and contractors throughout Watauga, Ashe, Avery, and Wilkes Counties.

In this full-time, Monday to Friday role (7:00 AM – 4:00 PM), the associate will support daily operations and engage in a variety of responsibilities including:

• Assisting the manager with day-to-day duties

• Providing courteous and knowledgeable customer service for both walk-in clients and phone inquiries

• Writing accurate invoices and calculating work orders efficiently

• Fabricating and fulfilling customer orders utilizing high-powered machinery

• Loading and unloading products using a forklift

• Delivering orders to job sites using a dump-bed truck

• Managing inventory, stocking shelves, and ordering merchandise as needed

This is a hands-on, physically demanding position requiring strength, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and grow within the industry.

Job Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs repeatedly

• Forklift experience is a plus (willingness to learn is essential)

• Experience with plasma cutters and rebar bending is a plus (willingness to learn required)

• Background in concrete or general construction industries preferred

• Must possess a valid driver’s license (CDL not required)

• Must successfully pass a drug test and background check
