Description:
Akkodis is seeking an Electromechanical Technician for contract to hire role with a client located in Columbus, OH.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsibilities involve performing testing and troubleshooting with basic meters and associated equipment.
- Basic circuit analysis
- Interrupt schematics and assembly prints
- Perform verification testing on circuit boards and various assemblies.
- Any additional tasks as deemed necessary
Minimum Qualifications:
- The Test Technician must have a technology background experience in power electronics and a versatile hands-on individual with good analytical skills.
- Experience with power in the ranges of 480 VAC 3phase and 240 VDC.
- DC/AC principles and electrical language.
- Diploma or Certificate in Electronics program or equivalent experience or Military equivalent experience
Desired Qualifications:
- Must possess electrical and mechanical aptitude and basic skills with electro/mechanical assembly and must be proficient with the use hand tools.
- Must have knowledge in the use of multi-meters and other basic instruments.
- Have basic knowledge in the use of multi-purpose test instruments such as oscilloscopes, component testers, digital test equipment.
- Possess the ability to read: wiring diagrams, assembly prints, schematics and parts lists and have a basic understanding of electronic circuits.
- Must be computer literate and have some knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
- Must possess the ability to work in a team environment as well as being able to manage time with little supervision. Ability to multitask is a must.
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills and troubleshooting skills.
- Possess some knowledge of AC/DC power electronics.
- Must be willing to work with voltages as high as 480 VAC 3phase and 240 VDC.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, good troubleshooting skills.
