Employee Benefits Attorney

CyberCoders is actively hiring experienced Employee Benefits Attorneys to join their legal team in Rochester, Buffalo, or Albany, NY. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity for legal professionals with significant experience in employee benefits, ERISA compliance, and relevant regulatory matters.

The successful candidates will provide comprehensive legal support to clients in matters related to retirement plans, welfare benefits, and overall employee compensation structures. The role is integral in ensuring organizations remain compliant with federal and state benefits regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert legal counsel on employee benefits law including retirement, health, welfare, and fringe benefit plans.

• Draft, review, and update plan documents, summaries, and compliance materials in alignment with ERISA guidelines.

• Conduct legal research and analysis on employee benefits statutes and provide strategic advice to clients.

• Develop and implement regulatory compliance programs and initiatives.

• Represent clients in employee benefits negotiations, audits, and dispute resolutions.

• Offer legal training and guidance to internal HR teams and client management on benefits law and best practices.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

• Active license to practice law in the state of New York.

• Minimum 4 years of experience in employee benefits and ERISA compliance.

• Sound knowledge of federal benefits laws and regulatory frameworks (ERISA, NIST, CIS, etc.).

• Strong communication, analytical, and legal interpretation skills.

• Collaborative mindset with proven client engagement experience.

Benefits:

• Salary range: $120,000 – $170,000 per year
