Description:
Akkodis is seeking a Field Services Engineer for a 24-month contract based in Medford, OR. This customer-facing, non-exempt position focuses on providing hardware support and related services for Clinet's PC Products customers. The role involves working with laptops, desktops, RPOS, and workstations, with a strong emphasis on printer knowledge. The environment is fast-paced, requiring positive approaches and the ability to handle multiple stressors.
As part of a team of self-starting, technical/mechanical professionals, you will manage various service events, educate customers about technology, and work collaboratively with multiple teams to ensure client satisfaction. A solid understanding of both technical and business perspectives is essential for success in this role.
Provide hardware support and repair for laptops, desktops, RPOS, workstations, and printers.
Diagnose and troubleshoot technical and mechanical issues with a focus on PC and printer products.
Install and configure hardware, software, and network components.
Collaborate with escalation personnel and assist in technical action plans for remediation.
Manage customer expectations and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
Balance multiple tasks, prioritize issues, and meet deadlines while adhering to business policies.
Provide customer education on technology and services.
Ensure all administrative responsibilities are handled with attention to detail.
Maintain a solid understanding of the financial and business impacts of service delivery.
Required:
Ability to bend, crawl, stoop, sit, lift, and move up to 50 pounds.
Willingness to work both scheduled and unscheduled overtime, including during holidays and non-traditional workdays.
Onsite customer-facing experience with technical or mechanical hardware repair.
Strong technical/mechanical aptitude with the ability to learn new technologies.
High School diploma or equivalent, with additional hardware technology training (College preferred).

Previous experience with hardware repair and technical troubleshooting.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and manage customer expectations.
