Maintenance Technician

Description:

Federal Express Corporation is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician I - III to join their team in Concord, NC. The role involves hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical and electrical systems to ensure operational efficiency in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance and repair work on industrial equipment using hand and power tools.

• Interpret electrical/mechanical schematics, manufacturer manuals, and engineering specifications to troubleshoot and resolve system faults.

• Utilize Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) software to enter and retrieve data related to maintenance activities.

• Diagnose mechanical power transmission, electrical, and PLC/control system issues at both component and system levels.

• Collaborate with operations, vendors, and support teams to resolve equipment failures or complete projects.

• Effectively communicate technical information to peers, management, and external vendors.

• Maintain time management and organizational skills to meet scheduled tasks.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree or certificates in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, electrical, or mechanical trade preferred.

• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in industrial maintenance.

• Proficiency in mechanical power transmission, electrical systems, PLC/controls, and welding/fabrication skills.

• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

• Experience with Microsoft Office and other software applications.

Job Conditions:

• Work involves use of hand and power tools.

• Exposure to hot or cold temperatures.

• May require standing, walking, bending, stooping, and squatting.

• Second shift position (typically 2:00 PM – 12:30 AM) with occasional flexibility; 4x10 schedule (Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday).
