Warehouse Associate

Description:

Airgas, an Air Liquide company, is seeking a Warehouse Associate / Local Delivery Driver (CDL B) in Sioux Falls, SD. This role is responsible for safely handling, transporting, and delivering industrial, medical, and specialty gas cylinders to customers while maintaining accurate records, complying with regulatory guidelines, and providing excellent customer service. The role involves warehouse operations, pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, and adherence to safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate warehouse equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks.

• Load, deliver, and unload cylinders containing compressed gases to customer locations.

• Record deliveries and pick-ups accurately on load manifests and obtain customer signatures.

• Maintain strong customer relations and resolve service inquiries or complaints.

• Communicate promptly with managers or customer sales associates regarding any issues.

• Conduct cylinder inspections and maintain vehicle and load documentation.

• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, documenting deficiencies.

• Work in warehouse or dock as needed.

Qualifications:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and manuals.

• Detail-oriented and able to safely operate a forklift.

• Valid Class B Driver’s License.

• Hazmat and Airbrake certifications (or ability to obtain).

• Must be at least 21 years old.

• Preferred: HS Diploma, touch freight experience, prior experience in gas, welding, or safety supply industries.
