Material Handler

Description:

Federal Express Corporation is currently hiring Part-Time Material Handlers to join its warehouse team in Newburgh, NY. This role is ideal for individuals seeking physically active work in a structured and supportive environment.

The Material Handler is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of equipment used to handle packages, documents, and heavyweight freight. The role includes assisting with pallet build-up and breakdown, managing dangerous goods, and interacting with ULD repair vendors as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate equipment used for moving packages, documents, and freight

• Assist in loading/unloading, build-up, and breakdown of pallets

• Ensure safe handling of dangerous goods and ULDs

• Follow all safety protocols and company guidelines

• Serve as liaison between FedEx and external repair vendors (as required)

• Communicate effectively in a loud operations environment

• Perform other warehouse duties as assigned

Physical & Job Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted; maneuver heavier items with help/equipment

• Capable of standing, bending, squatting, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting overhead

• Must be able to work in varying environmental conditions, including extreme weather

• Must remain alert and follow all safety procedures

• Valid driver’s license required

• Drug screening required

Work Schedule:

• AM shifts available

• Part-time hours; schedule flexibility is expected

Compensation & Benefits:

• Hourly pay of $19.68
