Career Staffing Talent (CST) has partnered with a top-tier Am Law firm to identify a Mid-Level Associate (3–6 years) for its nationally recognized Energy & Infrastructure Projects practice.
This is a financing-forward role within a sophisticated project finance platform representing developers, sponsors, lenders, and institutional investors on complex energy and infrastructure transactions.
Associates in this group work across a diversified portfolio of assets including renewable energy, power generation, LNG infrastructure, transmission, and emerging energy transition technologies.
What You’ll Be Doing
✔️ Draft and negotiate core project finance documentation including credit agreements, security packages, guarantees, and intercreditor agreements
✔️ Lead transaction closings, including managing checklists, signature packets, funds flows, and conditions precedent
✔️ Run financing workstreams across project finance, energy M&A, and joint venture transactions
✔️ Coordinate with specialist teams including tax, regulatory, and environmental counsel
✔️ Manage sponsor and lender due diligence streams, identifying issues affecting project bankability and financing structure
✔️ Review and negotiate project agreements including EPC contracts, O&M agreements, and power purchase agreements (PPAs)
What We’re Looking For
✔️ 3–6 years of transactional experience at a large law firm or comparable platform
✔️ Background in project finance, infrastructure transactions, or asset-heavy financings, ideally within the energy sector
✔️ Experience managing financing workstreams and transaction closings
✔️ Exposure to tax equity structures, tax credit monetization, or complex capital stack structures is a plus
✔️ Experience representing sponsors, developers, lenders, or investors in energy or infrastructure transactions
✔️ Strong academic credentials and bar admission (or ability to waive in) within the relevant jurisdiction
✔️ Strong communication skills and the ability to manage complex deal processes across multiple parties
