Senior Business Developer

What you’ll do:

• Support the growth of ENGIE's wind, solar, and storage pipeline through the lens of data science and spatial analysis;
• Develop tools/models in ArcGIS Pro, Python, and R to automate site identification and improve the efficiency of site evaluation;
• Manage ENGIE's existing Competitor Database, improving data quality and platform ease-of-use in alignment with GIS team standards;
• Design new and innovative spatial layers to help assess projects and improve strategy;
• Manipulate non-spatial data into spatial formats using data wrangling techniques;
• Advise the greenfield team on development constraints related to individual prospects;
• Map newly identified prospects, ensuring they are tracked in the database;
• Explore products from third parties, such as new data subscriptions, spatial models, or AI algorithms;
• Provide input on strategic goals based on prior development experience;
• Perform additional modeling or programming tasks as necessary;
• Carry out other duties as assigned

What you bring:

• A minimum of five (5) years related experience, preferably in renewable energy development with the ability to navigate the greenfielding and prospecting process.
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related discipline preferred
• Master’s degree in Environmental, Computer Science, Business Administration or Economics preferred.
• Detail-oriented individual who will proactively pursue required information.
• Skilled in project management with the ability to multi-task and prioritize critical path tasks.
• Superior verbal and written communication skills and high level of attention to detail.
• Results-oriented professional with the ability to work well with geographically dispersed, cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
