Description:

Western Alliance Bank is seeking a Senior Director, Commercial Banking – Legal Banking to join its Juris Banking division in San Francisco, CA. This senior leadership role is focused on driving strategic growth, managing key relationships, and executing the division’s strategic plan to meet annual growth and customer retention targets in the legal sector.

As Senior Director, you will lead business development initiatives, nurture existing client relationships, and leverage your expertise in lending and deposit sales to grow the bank’s portfolio within the legal industry. You will play a vital role in guiding the team, fostering strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring the portfolio’s health through proactive risk management and service excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead efforts to grow the deposit portfolio and achieve sales objectives for Juris Banking.

• Develop new business opportunities while managing existing customer relationships.

• Execute strategic plans set by the Managing Director.

• Oversee portfolio health and address lending & deposit performance issues proactively.

• Maintain strong knowledge of internal bank departments to source prospects and create advantageous deals.

• Foster strong relationships with senior leaders and facilitate smooth transitions of business opportunities into booked transactions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

• Minimum 8 years of experience in lending and/or deposit sales.

• Advanced knowledge of general banking operations, deposit operations, and legal banking products/services.

• Strong understanding of regulatory and legal compliance obligations.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills for internal and external audiences.
