Senior Full Stack Engineer

Description:

CGI is seeking a Sr. AWS Full Stack Engineer to join their team in a hybrid capacity based out of one of their locations in Hartford, CT; Raleigh, NC; Lafayette, LA; or Philadelphia, PA. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled cloud-native engineer to build secure, scalable, and high-performance cloud solutions using AWS technologies and Python.

The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining modern cloud applications and infrastructure. This role demands collaboration with DevOps, software engineering, and architecture teams, with a strong emphasis on infrastructure-as-code (IaC), containerization, and CI/CD practices. Experience in prompt engineering with GenAI tools will also be valued.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement cloud-native applications on AWS using Python.

• Build serverless systems with Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and PostgreSQL.

• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation.

• Integrate CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.

• Apply prompt engineering practices on GenAI platforms.

• Ensure security, cost optimization, performance, and monitoring best practices.

• Develop and manage containerized applications using Docker, ECS, or EKS.

• Write efficient, reusable, and testable Python code.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for end-to-end solution design.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in AWS application and infrastructure engineering.

• Strong real-world experience with Python and Spring Boot applications.

• Proficiency with AWS services such as Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, CloudFormation, etc.

• Skilled in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.

• Familiarity with DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems (e.g., Git).

• Solid understanding of VPCs, networking, security groups, and API management.

• Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
