Trial Attorney

Description:

I am working directly with the leadership of an acclaimed San Antonio civil litigation firm with a strong defense practice, seeking an attorney with 5+ years of experience to step into a hands-on trial role. This attorney will manage a diverse docket and take an active role in litigation strategy, client communication, and courtroom advocacy. The position is well-suited for someone comfortable in trial settings who is ready to grow within a collaborative, high-performance litigation environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage cases from inception through resolution, including trial
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and dispositive filings
• Conduct depositions, mediations, hearings, and jury trials (first or second chair)
• Develop litigation strategy in collaboration with firm leadership
• Maintain consistent communication with clients and opposing counsel

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active Texas law license in good standing
• 5+ years of civil litigation experience
• Demonstrated trial experience (first or second chair preferred)
• Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented practice
