We are hiring a highly motivated Aerospace Engineer to join our mission in Sierra Vista, Arizona, where we’re building the world's first-to-market reusable small satellite platform—the SpaceDrone.

As an Aerospace Engineer at BlackStar, you will work hands-on with the design, development, and testing of advanced spacecraft components, directly contributing to our real-world space missions. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and assist in the design, modeling, and simulation of spacecraft components and systems for the SpaceDrone platform.

• Conduct rigorous testing and performance analysis of satellite systems, ensuring reliability and mission readiness.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, technicians, and researchers to solve complex aerospace challenges.

• Integrate mechanical, propulsion, avionics, and thermal systems into space-ready configurations.

• Document designs and test results, and contribute to the refinement of processes and protocols for continuous innovation.

Required Qualifications:

• Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience or strong interest in spacecraft systems design, propulsion, structural analysis, or avionics.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment where innovation, collaboration, and adaptability are essential.

• Strong understanding of systems engineering, CAD tools, and aerospace simulation software.

• Passion for the space industry and a drive to contribute to meaningful, real-world missions.
