Randstad Digital Americas is seeking a Senior Email Copywriter to join their team in Washington, DC, on a contract basis. This role is crucial in shaping the client’s brand voice and driving user engagement through compelling email content. The successful candidate will craft high-impact copy that resonates with diverse audience segments, while ensuring alignment with brand identity and marketing objectives.

As a Senior Email Copywriter, you will be responsible for developing promotional campaigns, lifecycle series, and transactional messages that connect with customers across every stage of their journey — from acquisition and onboarding to retention and re-engagement. You will collaborate with visual designers, CRM teams, and marketing strategists to create integrated campaigns that balance creativity with data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities:

• Write and edit engaging, on-brand email copy across promotional, lifecycle, and transactional campaigns.

• Develop and A/B test compelling subject lines and preheader text to boost open rates and engagement.

• Adapt brand messaging for various audience segments, ensuring personalization and relevance.

• Collaborate with designers, strategists, and CRM teams to deliver high-performing campaigns.

• Use performance data and analytics to optimize copy effectiveness and meet campaign goals.

Candidate Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree required.

• Demonstrated experience as a senior-level copywriter with a strong portfolio of successful email campaigns.

• Expertise in concise, action-driven copy aligned with brand voice.

• Strong knowledge of email marketing best practices, A/B testing, and accessibility standards.

• Familiarity with major platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud.

• Ability to write effectively for the entire customer journey.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; strong team player.

• Based in Washington, DC area (preferred).

Randstad Digital Americas provides competitive hourly compensation of $45 – $50 per hour, based on experience, education, certifications, and location.
